TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
ECU Connection (the “Company”)
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 “Company” means ECU Connection.
1.2 “Customer” means any individual or business purchasing Goods or Services.
1.3 “Goods” means automotive electronic components including ECUs and modules.
1.4 “Services” means diagnostics, testing, repair, refurbishment, cloning, programming, and data transfer.
1.5 “Contract” means any agreement between the Company and the Customer.
2. BASIS OF CONTRACT
2.1 These Terms apply to all sales of Goods and Services.
2.2 By placing an order, the Customer agrees to these Terms.
2.3 No other terms shall apply unless agreed in writing.
3. NATURE OF GOODS AND SERVICES
3.1 The Company provides repair services, replacement units, and programming services.
3.2 Contracts may include services, standard goods, and bespoke goods.
4. PRICING & PAYMENT
4.1 All prices are in GBP (£) and exclude VAT unless stated.
4.2 Payment must be made in full before dispatch or completion unless agreed otherwise.
4.3 Storage fees may apply after 30 days.
5. DELIVERY & RISK
5.1 Delivery times are estimates only.
5.2 Risk passes upon delivery.
5.3 The Company is not liable for courier delays.
6. SERVICES (REPAIRS & REFURBISHMENT)
6.1 Repair work is classified as a service.
6.2 Services are carried out with reasonable care and skill.
6.3 Cancellation is permitted before work begins.
6.4 If work has started with Customer consent, cancellation rights are lost.
6.5 Charges apply for work already completed.
7. CUSTOM PROGRAMMING, CLONING & DATA TRANSFER
7.1 Where units are programmed, cloned, or coded using Customer data, they are deemed bespoke goods.
7.2 These goods are specific to a vehicle and cannot be resold.
7.3 The Customer agrees:
Cancellation rights are lost once work begins
No refunds after programming starts
The Company will notify before commencing
7.4 Explicit Customer consent is required before work begins.
8. SUPPLY OF GOODS
8.1 Standard goods may be returned within 14 days (consumer only).
8.2 Custom or programmed goods are non-returnable unless faulty.
9. WARRANTY
9.1 Warranty applies only where stated.
9.2 Warranty is void in cases of misuse, incorrect installation, or damage.
9.3 Liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund.
10. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
10.1 The Customer must ensure correct diagnosis and installation.
10.2 The Company is not liable for misdiagnosis or labour costs.
11. DATA
11.1 Customers must back up data.
11.2 The Company is not liable for data loss.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
12.1 The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
12.2 Liability is capped at the order value.
13. RETURNS SUMMARY
Repairs: cancellable before work
Programmed units: non-cancellable once started
Standard goods: 14-day return (unused)
14. FORCE MAJEURE
No liability for events beyond control.
15. GOVERNING LAW
England and Wales.
