- The 'Unit supplied + cloning service (Exchange unit)' option is for the both the supply of a secondhand unit & the programming service (Cloning - Data transfer from your unit to this donor unit) To do this you will have to send us your old unit. Once we have received your old unit we will transfer the immobilizer data from your old ECU to this supplied unit & return you a replacement unit fully programmed to your vehicle. This unit will then plug straight in and work on your vehicle with your existing keys etc with no further programming necessary. Your vehicle mileage etc will be unaffected by this process & will still display your vehicles correct reading. You will not have to program keys / central locking keyfobs etc after installation. *Please choose supply + clone from Immo if your original ECU is completely dead 'No communication' with a diagnostic scanner*.
- The ‘Supply+clone ECU from Immo‘ option above is for programming a used ECU to a vehicle when the original ECU has ‘No communication’ with diagnostic tools or is missing completely (Lost or stolen) – We can transfer the necessary immobilizer information from the CAS or EWS immobilizer unit located in the dashboard of the vehicle. Please send your CAS / EWS unit as pictured & if pictured above a working key.

1 . Scan the vehicle with a diagnostic scanner & record fault codes – rectify any faults recorded here first & check the wiring for faults
2 – If your ECU has ‘No communication’ with a diagnostic scanner it is essential that you check relevant fuses and consult a wiring diagram for your vehicle and verify the power supply & test the wiring to your ECU – particularly test power supply relays (Engine control relay). – ECU’s returned due to misdiagnosis are subject to a 20% restocking charge
If you are not a qualified / experienced auto electrician or garage technician and you are unsure if the problem with your car is the ECU then please consult one first before ordering – there is a 20% restocking charge for returns due to misdiagnosis
If your fault is a cylinder misfire please check spark plugs / leads / coil / injectors and wiring faults / headgasket faults etc before ordering, if these have been checked or replaced then it is important to check inlet manifolds for leaks, engine compression & perform a vacuum gauge test to check for valve problems.
