If you need to replace the ECU on the your vehicle you will be aware that you cannot simply replace the unit with a second-hand item as they are programmed to the vehicle - The vehicle will not start & run - We have the solution! Simply send us your original ECU Unit & a donor unit and we will transfer the data from your old ECU Unit to the replacement enabling the used unit to work on your vehicle with no further programming necessary. Your vehicle will then start & run and mileage display & the central locking will work as correctly. Please Note : Water damaged units / burnt out units that no longer communicate with a diagnostic tool is usually no problem for us to extract data - Although there are some exceptions - if your ECU has 'No communication' with diagnostic tools please contact us first to ensure we are able to clone your ECU. Advice on ECU Diagnosis & replacement

1 - Scan the vehicle with a diagnostic scanner & record fault codes – rectify any faults recorded here first & check the wiring for faults.

2 - If your ECU has ‘No communication’ with a diagnostic scanner it is essential that you check relevant fuses and consult a wiring diagram for your vehicle and verify the power supply & test the wiring to your ECU – particularly test power supply relays (Engine control relay).

3 - If you are not a qualified / experienced auto electrician or garage technician and you are unsure if the problem with your car is the ECU then please consult one first before ordering.

4 - If your fault is a cylinder misfire please check spark plugs / leads / coil / injectors and wiring faults / head gasket & valves for faults etc before ordering.

5 - We offer no refunds for programming services ordered due to misdiagnosis - Please ensure you are 100% sure your ECU is definitely the fault with your vehicle before ordering this service.
