ECUconnection

My Volvo died because of a super old battery and my ECY and ABS computer got desynchronised. After a short time looking for … More answers on the internet I found a video going over this exact scenario. It was presented by ECU Connection, who after further investigation offerred a remote programming service. So I managed to obtain all the information/codes/serial numbers necessary for them to do the job, disconnected and dismounted the ECU/CEM from the car, shipped out with screenshots and diagnostic report and after around a week I received them back. No further documentation was provided, but assumed they must have done what they were asked for. So put them both modules in their place in the car, connected new batery and the car started as if nothing ever happened. Could not be happier to have my 4wheels back in the game. the more that all local ECU programming "magicians" kept saying - sorry mate, cannot help you.
Thank you to the ECU Connection team. Recommend to anyone having this or similar problems (they have loads of options on their website). Even if you have no exact scenario covered with a particular defined service / product you could purchase via their website - a quick call should do it. They seem to know their stuff well ;)

Thank you so much for your help transferring the data from old corrupt ecu to another working unit. Also for your honesty … More & professionalism is advising us that our immobiliser could not be turned off on our particular ecu, which various other companies claimed could be, resulting in us being off the road for some time until we fortunately found you! Turn around time was light speed! Absolutely 5 stars all round!

The service was very quick. I refitted the airbag ECU to my Fiat 500 and started the vehicle. Most of the warning lights … More that had come on previously were now off, except the airbag light. A call to Justin confirmed that the car needed to have any error codes removed. A job for my local garage. The error codes were removed and the airbag light is now off. All fixed and back to normal. Thanks. The hardest part was removing the unit, even with the excellent video instruction. Who designs cars like this? I found using an electric ratchet with a 10mm socket worked the best, while lying on the pavement with the passenger door wide open.
