Used this company having come across them on YouTube (where they were fixing a car with the exact same issues ours was facing). … More My very basic home diagnostic machine wasn’t picking up the error codes, but a quick call to the company put my mind at ease that it was the airbag ecu causing the issue. They advised they would bench test it with their equipment, fix and return. My local garage was sceptical (they assume a new unit for £400-£600), but these guys and gals worked their magic and I reinstalled the original unit a week after being removed (thanks Fiat for making those bolts so easy to reach 😬).
The car immediately recognised the ecu brain, all errors had gone and the car is back to normal (I didn’t need to reprogram the ecu to the car luckily).
Would therefore recommend the company to anyone with this ecu airbag issue. Great service.

I’m so glad I eventually came across their website as it wasn’t looking too promising for my car. None of the other ecu reset outfits would touch it, most didn’t even reply to my query when they found out what car it was for. On the basis of the responses that I did get back I thought I would have to resort to a new module from the local Vauxhall dealer. However, when I attended the local Vauxhall parts dept. I was informed that replacement modules are discontinued and therefore new ones are unavailable.
This, I believed was the end of the road for the car (2013 model!) as it would not pass an MOT with the airbag light on. That is when I came across the services offered by ecuConnection and I couldn’t have been treated better, plus, from the very outset they were supremely confident they could glean enough info from the old module to clone onto a donor unit. Their communications were extremely good, the service efficient and sales staff polite and helpful, but above all positive in their ability.
I have already passed ecuConnections details on to the auto electrician that I first went to with the problem and will continue to promote their services whenever I get the chance.
I really can't thank them enough for their help in solving a problem that others couldn't, or wouldn't engage with. If you're reading this because you have a problem of your own I heartily recommend you get in touch with these good people in the first instance as it will pay you to do so.
